I doubt I'll ever forget the day in 1992 when I first saw the internet and realized it's potential. A firend who lives here deep in my mountains, Lee Lasson was showing me around the web with this new fangled thing called a browser.

Of course, we were using dial-up, but I had an epihphany, thinking to myself that THIS had serious possibilities for my future. Little did I realize how much! I went on to create an on line business, AudioPros.com, which I use to find clients worldwide for voice over and jingle work, and in fact, ANY type of audio production.

As web speed increased and comptuers became more adept at handling multi-media I began to consider the possibilities.

In the past years I've been involved in a plethora of Independent Music sites. One of the trends I had seen was Internet Collaboration on songwriting and production. I can't collaborate from a writing point of view, but I did realize that production might be a possibility. It's difficult to find excellent players when you live as deep in the mountains as I.

So, I did a few mini collabs and was enticed.

Now with the production of my cd came an opportunity. My producer was not exactly doing backflips over a song I wrote. He'd rather just skip it. I'd rather not.

So, I've turned to Internet Collaboration to put this one together.

I sent a rough "sketch" of a song (guitar/vocals) called "To be free". It is uptempo and has a bit of a rock attitude, which is different from most of my material. I have now had drums, bass and some keyboards laid down. This is all studio quality material. I will have some additional keyboard parts along with electric guitar and will receive all of the HUGE files in pieces which I will reassemble here in my studio with my guitars and vocals, freshly done.

I am far from a pioneer in this venture, but I do believe we'll do it as well as anyone. I look forward to you hearing the finished product.
