PAIN!

I can't handle pain!

I've always believed women were the hardier of the species in their ability to withstand human discomfort.

Witness childbirth.

I'm always reminded of Bill Cosby's routine talking about his wife "You did this to me!" and "Take your bottom lip and pull it over your head".

Today I experienced excruciating pain. And I was a wuss about it. Yeah no manly man stiff upper lip stuff. I just wanted to break down and weep. I didn't, but God was testing me for sure.
It could be a stress fracture, a joint infection or GOUT.

GOUT!!!!???? Isn't that for old people?

Oh wait...

Anyway, I'm on crutches (a whole 'nother BLOG) and trying not to be a burden on my 18 year old. (though tempted

)

That's it. Just hurting. Just wanting to say that my pain is genuinely insignificant to what so many others go through every day that at times I feel a little shame for my wussiness!

Witness; soldiers, disabled you know the list. SO now that I've gotten the pity party off of my chest, I'll move on to respecting, assisting and being more empathetic of those with REAL difficulties.

Any way something a little more lighthearted shall follow. For now, I think some rest with my feet up is in order!

Or could it all be a symptom of a bigger problem? Nah, you're not getting old!

Go ahead be a pain in the butt to your 18 year old...I've heard that there's nothing that will age you faster than to find out you're going to be called, "Grandpa!"
